Wand Damage and Appearance - Guild Wars Forums

So I got to testing some gold wands I have. I havent really bother testing the wands until I found a decent stats zodiac..Okay so this is what I notice. I have a gold wayward wand ,a zodiac wand and a celestrial..all of them read as chaos or dark damage..so I went to test them out and I notice that the damage that they were shooting was the same as fire or lightning. I find it weird that some wands do not take on the appearance of the damage type and it is weird to see it have this affect..Makes you wonder if the damage is calculated correctly.

I don't understand...are you saying that the wand for chaos damage would fire, say, a white "lightning damage" shot instead of a purple "chaos damage" shot? Would be easy to test imo. Surely you can get together with a ranger with plenty of armor Vs Lightning damage... Get a Lightning Damage wand and a Chaos Damage wand...go into Guild Battle and fire off shots at them from both wands...the lightning should do less damage than the chaos even if they sppear to shoot the same coloured shots. Well, that's my thoughts anyway.
